Warranty conditions for Tivoli with Left Hand Drive, European Emission standard Euro 6
1.1. All newly purchased Tivoli vehicles receive warranty by the manufacturer, Ssangyong Motor Company, in accordance with the following rules:
1.2. All authorized dealers undertake to satisfy all reasonable warranty claims of the client which are based on the manufacturer’s warranty conditions and have been addressed to Ssangyong Motor Company’s dealers in accordance with these terms and conditions. Such claims shall be satisfied following the methods described in these terms and conditions.
1.3. Warranty by the manufacturer, Ssangyong Motor Company, for any and all defects of the material, assembly or manufacture, for the period specified in the car’s warranty card, effective from the date of delivery of the car as recorded in the warranty card which is provided upon receipt of the car.
1.4. All authorized dealers of Ssangyong Motor Company shall undertake towards the client a warranty within the framework of the warranty terms and conditions contained in the rules issued by the manufacturer. Said warranty conditions, with all exceptions, are listed in detail in the car’s accompanying documents. The client confirms with their signature on the purchase and sale agreement that they know and accept the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.
1.5. Warranty claims may be filed within the periods set forth by the manufacturing plant.
1.6. Warranty claims in connection with the periodic technical examinations and the maintenance of the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions shall be valid if there is a service book for the vehicle attested by an authorized dealer of Ssangyong Motor Company which contains listings certified by the respective repair shops for all carried out periodic examinations and maintenance works specified by the manufacturer in accordance with the manufacturer’s conditions.
The Warranty coverage is for 5 (five) years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first.
2.1. The manufacturer shall grant for the vehicle a warranty corresponding to the vehicle’s current level of technical development. It shall guarantee that there are no defects in the used materials and the manufacture.
2.2. The warranty term shall be 60 (sixty) months starting from the day of delivery or the day of first registration of the vehicle (whichever occurs first) or 100,000 (one hundred thousand) kilometers of mileage, whichever occurs first.
2.3. Warranty claims may be filed only at repair shops recognized and authorized by the manufacturer in countries of the European Union or others specified in the original and certified service book. Warranty claims filed in other countries may be discarded. Warranty defects shall be repaired after a claim and only at repair shops recognized and authorized by the manufacturer and in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical requirements and instructions. The manufacturer shall provide the client with instructions about all recognized and authorized repair shops in the country, and the client undertakes to follow said instructions in order to preserve the warranty.
2.4. The warranty consists of the authorized repair shops’ obligation to repair or replace defective parts within the warranty period and in accordance with the technical requirements. The replaced parts shall become property of Ssangyong Motor Company from the moment of their replacement with new ones. A warranty shall be granted for all parts used at the warranty repair until the expiration of the vehicle’s warranty period.
2.5. The warranty responsibility shall be null and void in the following circumstances:
2.5.1. For malfunctions occurring as a result of an accident or a vehicle crash, i.e. an event related to sudden and direct impact of an external mechanical force;
2.5.2. In the event of malfunctions caused by irresponsible or malicious actions, in the event of malfunctions resulting from loss of possession, especially from theft, unauthorized use, robbery or appropriation, malfunctions directly caused by animals, storms, hail, cold, corrosion, lightning, earthquake, flood, short circuit, fire or explosion;
2.5.3. In the event of malfunctions caused by military actions of any nature, civil war, internal unrest, strike, lockout, detainment, confiscation or any other actions of an authority, as well as in relation to nuclear energy;
2.5.4. In the event of malfunctions occurring as a result of participation in competitive events or as a result of practice for competitive events;
2.5.5. In the event of malfunctions occurring as a result of the motor vehicle being subjected to higher axle loads or higher loads through trailers or total weight than the maximum admissible values set forth by the manufacturer;
2.5.6. In the event of malfunctions occurring due to use of unsuitable lubricants or fuel;
2.5.7. In the event of malfunctions caused by a change of the vehicle’s initial constructions (eg. tuning, installation of a gas system, etc.) or due to use of spare parts by another manufacturer or spare parts which haven’t been allowed by the manufacturer;
2.5.8. In the event of malfunctions occurring due to use of a part which obviously needed repair, unless it is proven that the malfunction was not caused by said need of repair or the part in need of repair was, at the least, temporarily repaired by a duly qualified expert;
2.5.9. In the event of malfunctions of the motor vehicle occurring due to use of the vehicle, as part of the buyer/user’s objects of activity, for transportation of passengers or granting for use to third parties.
2.5.10. In the event of incorrect observance of the instructions or requirements of the manufacturer or the authorized repair shop during performance of periodic technical examinations, servicing, repairs or maintenance of the subject of the sale; the observance or said instructions or requirements shall be proven with entries in the repair book certified by the seller made by repair shops authorized by the manufacturer.
2.6. Some limits of the scope of the general warranty.
The following details are covered by a limited warranty:
2.6.1. Paint surface – 5 years of 100,000 km, whichever occurs first.
2.6.2. Audio – 3 years of 100,000 km, whichever occurs first.
2.6.3. Battery – 2 years or 40,000 km, whichever occurs first.
2.6.4. Transmission discs and brake discs – 2 years or 40,000 km, whichever occurs first.
2.7. The warranty shall not cover changes due to normal wear and tear resulting from use of the vehicle.
2.8. A change in ownership shall not affect the validity of the warranty for the vehicle. A change of ownership does not relieve the new owner from the obligation to prove compliance with the obligations under the service book.
2.9. Warranty claims shall not be satisfied with payment of cash amounts. Warranty claims shall only be satisfied by repair of the respective defects.
2.10. The manufacturer’s warranty responsibility shall not include an obligation to provide a replacement vehicle during the repair or to satisfy claims for other damages besides the ones described herein.
2.11.The additional warranty conditions described in the service book shall be valid only if the book has been duly certified by a person authorized by the manufacturer for this purpose. Any warranty conditions described in the service book shall lose their validity if the service book or parts thereof have been forged or falsified.
